On 19 April 2017 Navy Captain Park, the military attaché of South Korea, paid a visit to Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy. The guest was welcomed by its Rector, Flotilla Admiral Prof DSc Boyan Mednikarov, and the dean of the Navigation Faculty, Captain Ass. Prof. Nikolai Velikov, who delivered a presentation about the Academy in the Boardroom. After that Captain Park was shown around the renewed training facilities. The meeting also included discussions regarding the possibilities for future cooperation.
