The courses conducted under the DivSea Project were successfully completed at Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy

On 25 May 2018 at Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy, two courses were successfully completed as part of the DivSea project, Diversification of seafarers’ employability paths through collaborative development of competences and certification – Erasmus+ Key Action 2 project in the field of Strategic partnership for vocational education and training, with beneficiary: Constanta Maritime University (CMU), Romania, and partners: Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy (NVNA), Bulgaria, the European Association of Career Guidance (EACG), Cyprus, and Stichting STC-GROUP, Netherlands.

During the training, besides theoretical lectures, the practical exercises with the students were conducted as well. In the courses was actively used the modern training facilities and simulators of the Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy, which gave the students the opportunity to work in an environment closest to the real one. These conditions resulted in a high level of understanding and adequate professional perceptions in learners.

The objectives and tasks of the courses were met in a full manner by all learners, on that basis each of them received a certificate for successful completion of the training. Both aspects, the team of lecturers and the qualitative selection of trainees from the Maritime University in Constanta, Romania, contributed to the realization of the course.

The training was also a test of the developed “E-learning” platform of the project, concerning the implementation of modern pedagogical practices and providing higher levels of accessibility, flexibility, mobility and complex management of the educational process.

An important element of quality management was the presence of an expert from STC-GROUP Netherlands, with the main task of monitoring, controlling and evaluating the courses.
