Naval Academy bids farewell to cadets from Poland

With an official ceremony, the Rector of Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy – Flotilla Admiral Prof Boyan Mednikarov, said goodbye to the Polish cadets who had been training at the Academy under the Erasmus+ programme.

In front of the ranks on the parade ground, the flag of the Republic of Poland, which had been hoisted on 20 February 2020 (the day when the cadets arrived), today, 16 June 2020, it was solemnly lowered. The flag was presented to the Polish cadets, who were also given command coins by the Academy Rector.

In the course of a whole semester, the three young men from Poland, who underwent training in Navigation, shared their lives with their Bulgarian counterparts and spent the entire lockdown period staying on campus.
