The graduate of the specialty “Organization and Management of Military Formations at the Tactical Level” (specialization “Naval Communication and Radio Engineering Systems”) prepares intellectually, morally and physically for realization as an officer of the Navy, with professional training in ship and land communication, radar and radio navigation systems and as a citizen and head of civilian units in the Republic of Bulgaria.

As a result of the training for 5 years, the graduate acquires higher education:- in the specialty “Organization and Management of Military Formations at the Tactical Level” (specialization “Naval Communication and Radio Engineering Systems”) with an educational and qualification degree “Bachelor” from the professional field “Military Affairs” of the professional field “Security and Defense”;- in the civilian specialty “Ship Radio Electronics” with an educational and qualification degree “Bachelor”  from the professional field of “Transport, Shipping and Aviation” to the professional field of “Technical Sciences”.

The graduate is trained as an officer for the management and management of the combat and daily operation of the communications and radio equipment (RTS) in the Navy, as well as for the performance of the duties of a watch officer.

The graduate can hold senior positions on warships and in coastal divisions of the Navy.

After passing a certain internship in the Navy and training in specialized courses, the graduate can occupy the positions of divisional specialist and equivalent to them.

As career officers of the Navy, they can improve their qualifications at the school and in foreign military academies and colleges purposefully or for a higher position.

Men and women are accepted in the specialty. The training is carried out in the conditions of a paramilitary regime and ends with the passing of state exams in the specialty, in tactical-special training and in English.

Graduates acquire military engineering and other special knowledge and skills in the field of theory and technical operation of radar, radio navigation and hydroacoustic systems, propagation of radio waves, microwave and antenna devices, circuitry and microprocessor technology, ship communication systems, cable and multiplex equipment, computer communications, technology and organization of repair of electronic equipment, naval weapons and tactics of the Navy, combat technical means and systems, protection of radio equipment from interference and electronic warfare, etc.

The lectures are combined with various forms of practical training of cadets for acquiring special training, for their moral, mental and physical strengthening and for their growth as leaders.

The main forms of educational activity are:

  • summer camp for sea training;
  • rowing and sailing trips;
  • physical training and training in swimming;
  • training practice on military and training ships;
  • training practice in communications, radio engineering units and repair enterprises;
  • overseas sailing practice;
  • training shooting with personal weapons.

The rich educational and material base of the specialty, the library and the access to the resources of the World Wide Web Internet create the necessary conditions for conducting an educational process at a high scientific and applied level in accordance with modern requirements and for active research work.

Simultaneously with the military training, the cadets also undergo a full course in the necessary academic disciplines for obtaining a civilian specialty “Ship Radio Electronics”.

This specialty can be used to occupy positions providing communication, information and electronic systems related to the maritime business and protection of the maritime sovereignty of the Republic of Bulgaria.
