Graduates can hold the following positions: &#8220;engineer on duty in an engine room with service&#8221; or &#8220;engineer on duty in an engine room with unserviced service&#8221; on civilian ships with unlimited power of ship&#8217;s power plants (KSU), &#8220;second engineer on a ship with a KSU propulsion power of over 3,000 kW&#8221;, &#8220;chief engineer on a ship with a KSU propulsion power of up to 3,000 kW&#8221; and &#8220;chief engineer on a ship with a KSU power of up to 3,000 kW&#8221;. Graduates of the specialty can be appointed to various management positions both in the field of maritime and river transport, and in industry.<\/p>\n<p>The general educational and general engineering training meet the requirements and correspond to the specialties of the professional field &#8220;Mechanical Engineering&#8221; of the field of &#8220;Technical Sciences&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The English language training also includes the study of professionally specialized vocabulary and terminology.<\/p>\n<p>The profiling and special training are in line with the requirements of the International Maritime Organization and the Maritime Administration of the Republic of Bulgaria.<\/p>\n<p>The curriculum for the specialty also includes one-time additional training under Appendix 1 to Art. 4, para. 2 and 3 of the Transitional and Final Provisions to the Regulation amending and supplementing Regulation No. 6 of 2012 on the competence of seafarers in the Republic of Bulgaria. In this way, those who successfully complete the training course, in addition to a higher education diploma, receive all necessary certificates for successfully completing their cadet internship and for appearing before the Maritime Administration Agency for an exam to obtain a watch engineer certificate.<\/p>\n<p>The training is conducted in specialized offices, laboratories, simulators and training grounds with operating machines, mechanisms, systems and models.<\/p>\n<p>The training practice is maritime, technological and navigational: maritime is carried out in a training camp and in sea conditions; technological &#8211; in workshops, and navigational &#8211; during overseas sailing trips.
