Welcome to the Faculty of Engineering<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Engineering Faculty is a basic unit in the structure of Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy. It was established on 01.11.1999, in accordance with the reform of the military education system and the requirements of the Higher Education Act. Until that date, the structure of the Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy did not include faculties (except for a few years after 1976), and the departments were directly subordinated to the Deputy Head on education and research activities in the school.<\/p>\n

The Engineering Faculty consists of six departments:<\/p>\n

  • Ship Power Plants, headed by \u00a0Assoc. Prof. Ph.D.\u00a0Diliyan Hristov<\/li>\n
  • Ship Electrical Engineering, headed by Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Zhivko\u00a0Grozdev<\/li>\n
  • Electronics\u00a0headed by Prof. Ph.D. Yordan Sivkov<\/li>\n
  • Mechatronics, headed by Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. \u00a0 Juliyan Minchev<\/li>\n
  • Information Technologies, headed by Prof. Ph.D. Valentina Petrova<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The Dean of the faculty is\u00a0Capt. Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Christo Christov\u00a0and the Vice-dean is Prof. Ph.D. Yuliyan Tsonev, scientific secretary Associate Professor Ph.D Tihomir Vasilev.<\/p>\n

    The specialties in which training is conducted in the faculty are: for cadets \u2013 Marine Engineering for the Navy; for Students: Marine Engineering, Ship Electrical Engineering, Technology of Ship Repairs, Ocean Engineering and Information and Communication Technologies, Cybersecurity, Digital Transformation and Artificial intelligence and Smart technologies.<\/p>\n
