ADMISSION AND REGISTRATION OF FOREIGN STUDENTS
All documents of the applicants are approved by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Sofia. For that purpose we should receive the following documents by DHL:
1. APPLICATION FORM – by our electronic Aplication form or attached to the package of documents.
More than one specialty may be pointed (recommended): for example
1. Navigation
2. Management of Water Transportation
2. COPY OF THE HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA AND ACADEMIC TRANSCRIPT, accompanied by its translation into Bulgarian both duly legalized (original stamps and seals !!! NO PHOTO COPY).
3. Authorized document (BY SCHOOL AUTHORITIES) which certifies that the applicant is allowed to continue his university education in the country where the secondary education was achieved. The document should be accompanied by translation into Bulgarian both duly legalized. For Turkey Apostil is acceptable. (original stamps and seals !!! NO PHOTO COPY) .
4. MEDICAL HEALTH CERTIFICATE (original) stating that the applicant is clinically and mentally healthy (valid 1 month after issue) and accompanied by its translation into Bulgarian both duly legalized (original stamps and seals!!! NO PHOTO COPY).
5. PHOTOCOPY OF PERSONNAL IDENTIFICATION DOCUMENT (PASSPORT) translated into Bulgarian duly legalized.
6. DOCUMENT FOR FINANCIAL SUPPORT (BY PARENT) (original), translated into Bulgarian both duly legalized.
7. SIX (6) PHOTOS 4/6 cm
8. PHOTOCOPY OF ALL ABOVE LISTED DOCUMENTS 1-6
For specialty of Navigation: not less than 62% of the maximum grade in maths and physics are required
For specialty of Management of water transportation: not less than 62% of the maximum grade in English language or Geography or History are required.
The annual tuition fees for foreign citizens from non-EU Member States (art. 95 par. 7 of the Higher Education Act), for the qualification degrees “Bachelor” and “Master” (after “Bachelor” degree) in English in the professional branch “Transport, shipping and aviation” (as per Decree of the Council of Ministers № 104/28.04.2015) are as follows:
- full-time students – 3,000 EUR
- extra-mural students – 1,750 EUR
- language preparatory course – 3,000 EUR
The annual tuition fees for PhD students in technical and social studies – for foreign citizens from non-EU Member States (art. 95 par. 6 of the Higher Education Act) are:
- full-time students – 3,000 EUR
- extra-mural students – 1,750 EUR
The annual tuition fees for foreign citizens from EU Member States and EEA (European Economic Area) EFTA Member States is given in the table below and can be paid in one or two instalments .

Non EU citizens with dual citizenship pay half of indicated annual fee.
