For the first time in Bulgaria, Medical University “Prof. Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov” – Varna (MU-Varna), together with the Military Medical Academy – Sofia (MMA) and the Naval Academy “N. Y. Vaptsarov” (Naval Academy), offer the opportunity to study in the specialty “Military Doctor” (“Medicine” for the educational and qualification degree “Master” and “Organization and Management of Military Formations at the Tactical Level” with the educational and qualification degree “Bachelor”). The profession of a military doctor is an honor and prestige for thousands of specialists around the world, for whom saving human lives is a vocation and duty, and patriotism is a deeply conscious conviction.

The training is conducted simultaneously at MU-Varna, the Military Medical Academy and the Naval Academy, in a full-time form. Upon completion of the full course of study, which is 6 years, students will receive the Master’s degree in Medicine from MU-Varna and the Bachelor’s degree in Organization and Management of Military Formations at the Tactical Level, specialization Medical Support of the Armed Forces from the Naval Academy.

The training in the specialty “Medicine” meets the highest national and international standards. It is carried out in a regular form, according to a curriculum developed on the basis of the uniform state requirements for the specialty. The course of study is 6 years. It includes 10 academic semesters and a pre-graduate internship, during which state exams are taken. Upon completion of the full course of study, students receive the professional qualification of “Master-Doctor” and acquire the EQD of “Master”.

Some of the qualifications they will receive during their training in the specialty “Organization and Management of Military Formations at the Tactical Level”, specialization “Medical Support of the Armed Forces” are skills for driving a boat and yacht, diving skills, as well as survival in a variety of conditions. Students will have the opportunity to operate virtual ships on the most modern simulators in Europe and interact with cadets from all over the world. The good preparation of graduates of this specialty gives them the opportunity to improve their qualifications not only in Bulgaria, but also in all NATO member states. When participating in international missions, in addition to salary, an additional 50% of its value is received for work in the “Risk” zone, as well as daily business trip money in the respective currency.
