The training in the specialty expands and deepens the knowledge of students in the field of shipping.
Graduates of the master’s program, in accordance with the requirements specified in the STCW Convention and Directive 2008/106/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 19 November 2008 on the minimum level of training for seafarers, can occupy the following positions for ship management and operation:
- Master of a ship over 3000 GT;
- Master of a ship from 500 GT to 3000 GT;
- Senior mate of a ship over 3000 GT;
Graduates can also successfully work as managers in shipping companies and manning companies.
Duration of training:
- For those who have acquired a bachelor’s degree in the same specialty – 2 years;
- For those who have obtained a bachelor’s degree in another specialty – an individual plan is prepared based on an academic report for the disciplines studied.
