AIM OF THE PROJECT

The aim of the project is to develop an educational platform will include simulations of machinery and system applications in the engine room.  The program will  will also include theories, procedures, and areas in which student competency development can be monitored. The aim is to spread the platform among maritime universities and other educational institutions. The platform will be free and open for upgrades.

It’s expected that 3 outputs will occur in the implementation of the project.

O1:Creating of training simulation in the field of ship machinery;

O2:Building online education portal that is an open source remote application access,

O3:Creating Simulation scenarios modules.

NVNA ACTIVELY PARTICIPATES IN THE PROJECT, PERFORMING THE FOLLOWING TASKS:

  • Manages the activities of „Internal evaluation and control of project results“

  • Actively participates in the development of scenarios

  • Actively participates of preparing a web-based educational platform

  • The University is committed to disseminate the project to its international collaborators.

Expected results during the project and at its completion:

  • Investigation and creation of a database of the operation of various systems in the engine room.

  • Database of scenarios for the operation of equipment in the engine room.

  • Development of the Simulation

  • Creating of the Application sheets. Pedagogical and Technical Guidelines for the use of Application sheets

  • Development online education platform

  • Testing and improving the platform and analyzing the results
